Starting today, select Target stores will begin selling the Amazon Kindle reader. It appears that the roll out will be slow with 102 south Florida stores and one in Minneapolis, MN being the first to sell the eBook reader. It will retail for $259.00.
The Kindle reader allows its users to purchase eBooks through the Amazon website and read them on a special viewer. Until now, the Kindle was only available through Amazon.com. Now buyers will be able to see a demo unit and try it out before making a purchase.
On another note, Barnes & Noble has announced a partnership with Best Buy to sell their Nook reader.
